Payments to the Tax Office

Businesses other than companies receive a notice of assessment from the Australian Taxation Office after lodging their tax return or activity statement. The notice of assessment states:

  • how much you owe
  • the due date for payment
  • your payment reference number or electronic funds transfer (EFT) code.
